Chapter 9: Love sign of the rose.

Our goods which were supposed to arrive today, which we had managed to get out of Russia with so much effort, all those goods have been stolen by our enemy.

Domenico was a dealer who laundered the stolen goods of others and sold them in other countries. He had his own separate gang which did drug deals only from here and picked up innocent girls and sold them to some rich men in other countries.

We had once attacked his place and rescued some girls since then he was always after me to harm me in any way.

After hearing the news of my goods getting stolen by him, I have been in a full mood for vengeance.

I was in my study, sitting on my chair, rubbing my forehead and trying to think how to get the goods back from him.

Also, I was checking the background information about Alora Gray which I had gathered without letting my friends know. Even if I knew all the information about William, I couldn’t ignore anything about her because she was not him. Every person has their secrets whether it is hidden or published.

When I was flipping through the pages of her file, suddenly a message popped up on my phone screen. I picked up the phone in my hand and turned it on to see who had messaged what. It was from Carlo, he had sent a few photos.

Those photos were of trouble. In the first photo, she was plucking some flowers which Carlo might have clicked without informing her. It only showed the left side of her face but not clearly.

In the second photo, she had just turned towards the camera when Carlo clicked it again. But in this photo, her beautiful face was visible to me.

She was wearing a dress which looked so gorgeous on her, I couldn't take my eyes from her photo.

I had sent Carlo to call her because I have to talk to her about something important. But she hasn't come here yet. Why is she taking so long?

After a while, someone knocked at my door.

"Come in."

The door opened in slow motion and two beautiful eyes secretly sneaked out from behind the door. I internally chuckled at her action.

Then she slowly came out from behind the door with a nervous smile. There were still some flowers in her hand.

She was looking so gorgeous in that dress and with those flowers, my eyes hurt. A flower clipped on her hair like a crown. She was wearing a smile like a sharp knife which could cause you to bleed without any cuts.

I kept staring at her for not knowing how long. When she walked towards me, I came back to my senses.

"Were you so busy distributing flowers to everyone that you didn't even realize the time?" I said in a calm voice.

"How did you know?" She asked me shockingly.

It was just a guess yet I got right.

Does that mean she was giving flowers to everyone? Wow! This girl was something different... but interesting. The only enemy of mine I couldn't ignore about anything.

"This is my place and I am the boss here, I know exactly who is doing what."

She rolled her eyes at me and replied, "Yeah... yeah. Now tell me why you called for me."

"First you answer me, why are you late?"

"I didn't know where your study was. At first I tried to find it myself but when I could not find it, I took help from a boy and he helped me to come here."

I released an annoyed sigh, leaned forward and put both my hands on my table.

"Sit!"

She took a seat in front of me and put her hands on the table.

I passed her a file with some papers and she immediately took it.

"There are some rules in this which you have to follow. I should have given it the very next day of your arrival but I thought I should wait for the right time. Now is the perfect time. "

The trouble was opening the file and looking through the pages.

Even if she was reading, I thought I should tell her myself.

"Rule number 1: Never keep any secrets from your boss."

She didn't reply so I continued-

"Rule no.2: You are not allowed to leave this mansion without my permission."

Still no reaction.

"No.3: You must follow the restrictions your boss made for you along with Pizzas." I stated that pizza word more warningly.

"I know how to read." She looked up at me and smiled humorlessly.

"Then read loudly so I can make sure you are reading it right."

She released a sigh of irritation and started to read it loudly.

"No.4: Don't argue with your... boss." She looked up at me with angry eyes.

"Go ahead. Don't waste any time."

I hid a smirk from her. These rules were only for her because she was different from others.

"No.5: You have to obey all the words of your boss." She released a light chuckle sarcastically.

"No.6: You can't fall in love with anyone here and... don't flirt with them." She remained silent for a moment, then let out a sigh of frustration.

Let me guess what she was going to say now... Unbelievable!

"Unbelievable!" She let out a sigh, again.

Just as I thought. I was feeling proud of myself for guessing her replies.

I pointed her to reading ahead.

"No.7: Don't try to distract... my men whether they are working or not." She looked at me in disbelief and got shocked, annoyed, irritated, and mad at the same time. "Are you serious? Who makes such rules?" She yelled at me.

"Me." Just a simple reply, yet enough to make her even more furious.

"Getting along together is not a DISTRACTION nor FLIRTING!!" She stated.

"So, tell me what it is?"

"Being friends with each other!"

"It is necessary to tell you that there were no girls here before you, so my men were disciplined. But since you have come... everyone has become useless including my friends."

"So you think it's my fault?"

"Absolutely. Now no. 8: Never question your boss."

The trouble stayed silent for a moment and then said, "You are doing all this on purpose."

"What for?" I raised an eyebrow at her.

"Because since I have come, everyone started to love me while their boss is my enemy, so it's clear that you are JEALOUS!" She said so confidently as if she made the right point.

"You think so?"

She nodded with a serious face.

"Are you sure I am jealous of you?" I asked, slightly tilting my head to the right.

She again nodded with a confident smile.

"Then let me add one more rule for you."

"No! Why?”

"No.9: Don't let anyone touch you unless it's me."

"Come again?" The trouble was confused as to whether she heard it right or not.

"Here the word 'touch' signifies other meanings like hurting, touching whether it is a bad touch or a good one, gives pain."

"Why would I let... you do this?"

"Because only I have the right to you."

She was startled by my response.

Did I make her nervous? Well, it was also shocking and new for me to say something like that about a girl. But for some reason, I have started acting differently when it was about her.

"Last but not the least, no. 10: Do whatever I tell you to, more like follow my orders. No if, no what, no but, no excuses…”

She raised an eyebrow, tilted her head a little and smirked.

What was that? She stayed silent with no expressions on her face; she went poker face. She was not what she showed us.

I also started to become nervous with the silence she was giving so I immediately said-

"Sign on it." I gave her a pen.

The trouble didn't object at all and signed on that paper. She got up with her remaining flowers to leave but stopped in the middle of the room. Then she turned to me and said-

"Um... I have a question... not about those rules but about these flowers." She said as if she wasn't going to follow any of those rules so it didn't matter to her.

Yet, I nodded a yes to listen to her question.

"The idea of planting these flowers in the garden cannot be yours... then who planted it?"

"It was my mom. She loves flowers. So whenever she comes here, she plants new types of flowers by herself."

My mom. The love of my father's life and mine too. She is too sweet and caring to everyone. Sometimes I wondered how she came into this brutal lifestyle. The mafia place did not deserve her, she deserved a happy place just like her.

I looked up from my thoughts and glanced at Alora.

Her face lit up but slowly her lips curved into a sad smile. Then suddenly she started looking at the whole room as if she was searching for something.

I didn't say anything to her. I was just watching what she wanted to do.

"Here it is." The trouble said as if she found a treasure. It was a vase.

She took that vase and put it on the table. Then keeping only one rose out of all those flowers separately, she put the rest in the vase arranging them nicely.

For whom did she save that rose? For herself... Or for someone else...?

"Now it's done. Look... how beautiful it looks... isn't it?" She beamed exactly like those flowers.

"I don't keep flowers in my study."

The trouble rolled her eyes at me, "Do you know why your mom planted these flowers?"

"I just told you... she loves flowers, that's why."

"You only think so. Your mom has planted these flowers with her love so that you can feel her love in these flowers even when you are away from her.”

My mom has always been doing this. I told her many times before that they would die without care. But I never understood why she planted them here when her visits were less.

"Even if that's the reason... how can you be so sure?" I narrowed my eyes on her.

She again rolled her eyes at me, "Stupid monster! She used to plant these flowers herself, whereas you have so many workers."

Maybe the trouble was right.

"So, keep these flowers as a sign of love from your mom. Keep these close to you." She placed that vase in front of me. "Don't even think about removing it from here after I am gone."

"Alright! I won't."

"Good." After saying that she took that separate rose from the table and started walking towards the door.

A curiosity to know, to whom she was going to give that rose started filling me. More importantly, because it was a red rose.

But I stayed silent. She closed the door behind her and I got back to my work.

Suddenly, the door again opened with a thud and startled me.

The trouble came running slowly to my side and-

"This one is for you, monster." She held the flower towards me.

All of a sudden, my heart started pounding. She was waiting for me to take the rose while I was fighting with something strange inside me.

"I thought your mood would improve... So, that's why I..."

I took that flower from her.

"Thank you.”

She nodded nervously and again ran out.

The best enemy of my life that I have ever made.
